Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER) / emergency nursing experience
- BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
- Strong critical thinking, triage, and communication skills
- Comfortable in high-acuity, fast-paced emergency department environments
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and accurate clinical documentation
Responsibilities (Emergency Room RN)
- Provide direct patient care for a wide range of emergency conditions and acute presentations
- Triage, assess, and prioritize patient care needs in a busy ED
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per provider orders
- Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members
- Perform ongoing patient monitoring, reassessment, and documentation in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up resources
