Travel Nursing Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030–$2,360
- Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, approximately 36 hours per week
- Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Rotational
- Floating: May be assigned to affiliated facilities in the surrounding Peoria area based on operational needs

Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment skills, communication abilities, and commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a Medical-Surgical unit
- Perform focused and comprehensive patient assessments, monitor clinical conditions, and identify changes requiring intervention
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards and provider orders
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing colleagues, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, quality outcomes, and continuity of care
- Adapt to floating assignments and provide consistent, high-quality care across affiliated facilities when needed
