Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of New Jersey (NJ RN license)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) experience in acute care
- BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
- Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts; reliable scheduling availability
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced hospital setting
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg Tele unit (Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN responsibilities)
- Monitor and assess patient conditions including cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation of telemetry rhythms
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety and documentation standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information accurately and timely in the medical record
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
