Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Job Requirements
- Active RN license (New Jersey or Compact State) — must be eligible to work as an RN in NJ
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required (perioperative/OR RN experience)
- BLS certification required
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient-safety focused skills
- Pediatric OR or PACU experience is a plus for pediatric surgical assignments
Key Responsibilities – Operating Room / Perioperative Nurse
- Provide direct perioperative patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Assist with surgical procedures across multiple specialties including Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Pathology, Pediatric OR, and PACU support
- Monitor patient status and promptly respond to intraoperative changes
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and the broader healthcare team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to infection control and sterile technique standards
