Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or Compact RN license accepted
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, telemetry, or similar acute care setting
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and thriving in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and teamwork skills; experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adults in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Continuously monitor, assess, and document patient condition, telemetry, and response to treatments
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and according to orders
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, discharge planning, and recovery
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhere to safety and infection control standards, and participate in unit-based quality initiatives
