• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Shifts per Week: 4
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,640 – $3,070 (competitive travel nurse pay)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state eligibility (NJ RN license preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, or similar acute care / med-surg experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in an interdisciplinary hospital team and using electronic medical records (EMR)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in acuity
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per physician orders and hospital policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case managers) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care to support successful transitions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the EMR
