- Role: Social Worker – Inpatient Behavioral Health / Case Manager
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490 - $2,670
- Shifts per Week: 5 (Monday - Friday)
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days (08:30 - 17:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Setting: Adult behavioral health, 72-bed inpatient unit
- EMR: EPIC (experience preferred)
- Scrub/Attire: Any color except tan, or professional attire
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Master's in Social Work (MSW) required — Clinical social worker preferred
- Active Washington social work license: LASW, LICSW, or LSWAIC (AAC may be obtained after hire)
- Minimum 1 year of related behavioral health or psychiatric social work experience
- First Aid certification required
- BLS (can be completed within 30 days of hire)
- Preferred: De-escalation training (CPI or MOAB – can be completed within 30 days of hire)
- EPIC EMR experience is a plus but not required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide case management and clinical assessment for adult patients (18+) with mental health and psychiatric disorders, including involuntary detentions
- Conduct psychosocial assessments, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate care across the interdisciplinary team
- Perform crisis intervention, de-escalation, and therapeutic engagement with psychiatric patients while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor
- Manage discharge planning, community resource linkage, referrals, and follow-up to support transitions of care
- Document care, interventions, and case notes accurately using EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with community providers, families, and outpatient services to ensure continuity of care
- Float between the 2nd and 3rd floors as needed (travelers float first)
