• Location: Ottumwa, Iowa (52501) – Southeast Iowa nursing jobs
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Unit: Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: April 25, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (18:45 – 07:15)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 (option for 48 hours available)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Iowa or compact state) – Registered Nurse jobs in Iowa
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Medical-Surgical RN experience
• BLS certification required
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening (including opiates)
• Recent titers (within the last 12 months)
• Background checks (Iowa SING BG, criminal, and child abuse) must be fully cleared prior to start
• Travel nursing experience preferred but not required
• Flexibility to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients in the Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Document patient care using MediTech EHR
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff
• Provide education and support to patients and their families
• Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff (CNA, LPNs)
• Ensure compliance with all facility and regulatory healthcare policies
