Job Requirements
- Board-certified Urologist
- Active New York physician license, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- At least 1 year of urology experience required
- Ability to provide consistent weekend call coverage
- Comfort managing routine urology cases in an acute care setting
- Ability to meet a 30-minute response time requirement
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with PA support and interdisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing weekend call coverage for urology services
- Respond to patient care needs from Friday evening through Monday morning on assigned weekends
- Manage routine urology cases, including difficult Foley placements and kidney stone-related concerns
- Collaborate with PA support staff, who will perform initial assessments and escalate cases as needed
- Deliver timely clinical intervention for urgent and emergent urologic issues
- Support patient care at the main campus while maintaining required response times
- Document evaluations, recommendations, and treatment plans in accordance with facility standards
